They told me art might.

Rosie Elizabeth, who publishes under the name Elizabeth Seven, is a British poet and artist based in Palma de Mallorca.

In 2024, she finished her first book of poetry Where is Home, If Not In Someone Else? and started drawing as a way "to relieve the words that wouldn't stay still".

The result? Intricate details, overlapping patterns and eye-like forms. "Messy, unbridled me" she says. "I looked at the page, and saw all of the anxieties I was trying to draw myself out of."

And so, in autumn 2025, Tatty Human was born.

Since then, her drawings have been staged at a local art event in Palma and published alongside her poetry. She hopes that people find something of themselves in her work, if only the poetic, tattered bits of what make us strangely human.
